Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence River

We'll depart Syracuse at 9:30 am for the 1.5 hour drive north to Alexandria Bay. There we'll join the 11:30 am Uncle Same 2-Nation Boat Tour to float for two hours through one of the most scenic locations in America. At the end of the tour, the boat will drop us off at Boldt Castle- a beautifully restored castle built for the wife of the owner of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Once we're back on land, we'll drive to Sackets Harbor on Lake Ontario where we'll stop for dinner. This quaint village on the lake is the site of a famous battle during the War of 1812. The fee for the boat and castle tours (paid separately) total $48.30. Dinner will probably cost you $25-$40 depending on what you order. So figure on a total cost of $100.
