About the Event
Located just 8 miles from Ithaca, NY (the home of Cornell University), Taughannock Falls State Park boasts the tallest waterfalls in the east. Choose from a simple 3/4 mile walk to the base of the Falls, or the North Rim trail- or do both. Bring a bathing suit, a towel and a change of clothes if you choose to swim at the beach within the park on Cayuga Lake. You may also wish to bring a picnic lunch. We'll drive down there via the western edge of Cayuga Lake- one of the most beautiful Finger Lakes. On the way home we'll stop at the famous Purity Ice Cream store in Ithaca- serving up smiles since 1936.
NOTE- we'll only go if the weather is nice.
